Competition Criteria: Are you a member of the Tucson Community—maybe a PCC student, Faculty or administrator and have a tune in your head that needs to be the “theme jingle” for Pima Foundation’s, REV IT UP in October? Start writing—music and lyrics. Think, KOLD’s,“AZ’s my Home” meets NFL’s, “Sunday Night Football Theme” (Carrie Underwood). Any genre of music accepted. Not looking for an anthem but a powerful, stuck-in-your-head, theme-centric, musical slogan. Jingle should connect with a wide audience—authenticity a must. All submissions should be MP3 format (audio only). Include a slate [name of artist(s) and jingle title] at top of the recording. Music can be recorded with a single instrument or small band; vocals may be solo or with harmony tracks. All content submitted must be original— contrafactum or parodies not accepted. Content should be appropriate for audience ages 6-80. Use your cell phone or most reliable technology for recording; expert editing is not a consideration for launching you to the finals. Submit this form with your digital audition material (MP3) and you move one step closer to Rev it Up’s jingle competition winner.
Compensation: $1,000 award and opportunity to record final arrangement of your winning submission.
Project: Rev it Up is Pima Foundation’s premiere hybrid event benefiting, Earn to Learn and PCC’s Centers of Excellence. Pima Foundation is a 501(c)(3), charitable organization whose mission is to champion Pima Community College by cultivating relationships for lasting positive impact. The Foundation develops and delivers non-institutional scholarships for student success and much more. All persons interested in submitting an entry should do so by May 10, 2021. Submitting artists may be a solo or group. Entering does not guarantee award. Award provided is not per person associated with entry but is for winning entry. More than one submission per solo or band is permitted. Only one entry will be selected as
the Jingle Competition winner. Panel adjudicating all entries is a cross-section of Tucson community members. This is considered a “blind audition.”
