Kathy Curley began her journey in higher education at the University of Arizona, earning three degrees (B.A, M.A and M.L.S). She began her library career at Coolidge Public Library but quickly found her career family at Pima Community College in 1977. Fifteen years later she shifted her energies to that of Director of PCC’s Downtown Campus Library and took on the leadership/advisement position for Phi Theta Kappa (PCC DTC), an International Honor Society for Community Colleges. Her friends and family know she left a legacy of hard-work, compassion and love for education and student success—in her honor they have created the Kathleen Fockler Curley Memorial Scholarship for Outstanding Leadership.
This scholarship speaks to PCC students who have a minimum GPA (3.5), maintain 12 credit hours of study/semester and who show a devotion to the Alpha Beta Chi Chapter of PTK. Specific criteria and application requirements for this Scholarship can be found in Scholarship Universe.
The scholarship is funded for $1,000 and may be used for tuition, fees and books.
