Aviation Student, Julian Tapia, Receives $2,500 in Recognition of Excellence in Aviation Study

Pima Community College Foundation and Thunderbird Field II Veterans Memorial, Inc Aviation Scholarship Program (TB2), announce Pim Community College’s first scholarship recipient, Julian Tapia. PCC is the only higher education institution in Pima County partnered with the Scottsdale-based organization.

The rigor of our program makes it extremely difficult (for students) to retain employment while attending…Scholarships such as this one help to mitigate those potential hardships, and we couldn’t be more thankful for the support Thunderbird Field II has offered our students as they pursue their career aspirations of becoming an Aviation Maintenance Technician.

– Jason Bowersock, Director, Aviation Technology, Pima CC
