Veterans Upward Bound(VUB) is a federally funded program designed to support qualified, military veterans with preparation and the enrollment in a postsecondary school (university, community college, and vocational/technical programs). VUB provides skills and advice to enable veterans to achieve their academic goals. VUB is part of a group of programs called TRIO programs.

The TRIO programs were the first national college access and retention programs to address the serious social and cultural barriers to education in America and points to the three initial programs established. The original three programs have grown to nine with VUB added in 1972.

Contributing to this PCC Program fund enables more immediate assistance to qualifying Pima CC students for college expenses not covered by the grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Postsecondary Education.
