A Season of Thanks & Giving

November is a month that invites reflection and gratitude. As the sun sets earlier and the desert air turns crisp while the few vibrant hues of autumn settle in, we at Pima Foundation are reminded of the countless blessings we’ve received throughout the year. It’s a time to pause and celebrate the incredible generosity of our donors, the steadfast support of our community, and the shared commitment to creating opportunities for all who seek education at Pima Community College.

This past Friday was National Philanthropy Day, we celebrated the power of giving—the heartfelt contributions of individuals and organizations who believe in our mission to empower students and enrich our community. Each gift, whether large or small, represents a vote of confidence in the transformative power of education.

To our donors: Your generosity is the cornerstone of our work. Because of you, students find hope and opportunity, faculty gain resources to innovate, and programs continue to thrive. Your belief in Pima Community College’s mission uplifts not only our students but the entire Tucson region.

To our community: You are our partners in progress. Your involvement, dedication, and enthusiasm inspire us daily. Together, we’re shaping a brighter future, one student at a time.

To our team: Your passion and determination turn dreams into realities. By honoring the trust placed in us, we’re building a legacy of impact and opportunity.

This month, we are reminded of the joy found in giving—sharing time, resources, and kindness to help others. For those who feel inspired to participate in the season of giving, there are countless ways to make a difference.

This year, we invite you to participate in the Aztec Resource Center Food Pantry’s Winter Wonder Food Bag Drive. This initiative aims to provide 200 Winter Wonder Bags to Pima students facing financial, housing, or food insecurity during the winter break. Your financial support can make a significant difference, ensuring students have what they need to thrive. The deadline for donations is Friday, December 6th, and contributions may be tax-deductible.

Additionally, we’re in the final stretch of the Connie Hillman Challenge Grant! With less than two weeks to go, we’re aiming for a strong finish to meet our $10 million goal. Every donation helps us get closer to transforming lives through education.

Whether through planned gifts, one-time donations, or even volunteering your time, every act of generosity brings us closer to a more equitable and empowered community. If you’re able to give, please consider contributing to the many impactful efforts we offer at Pima Foundation. Questions? We’re happy to assist—give us a call at 520.206.4646 or visit our website to donate directly.

As Thanksgiving approaches, we also want to take a moment to celebrate the voices of gratitude from our team, who inspire us with their dedication and reflections:

  • Marcy Euler: “In my personal life, I’m thankful for my family, my friends, and my faith. At work, I am thankful for my tremendous colleagues and for the incredible work we do to transform lives. I’m so grateful to our donors who trust us with their philanthropic gifts.”

These reflections remind us of the importance of connection, purpose, and community, which are at the heart of all we do at Pima Foundation.

This season, let’s give thanks and give back, spreading hope and opportunity throughout our community. Thank you for being part of our journey and for your unwavering support of Pima Foundation and Pima Community College.

In all that we do, we are deeply thankful for the people who make our mission possible. You—our donors, community members, and partners—are the heart of Pima Foundation. Together, we are making an enduring impact, building pathways to success, and ensuring a future full of promise.
