Recently, we took a group of community members from Hacienda at the Canyon to get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of Pima Community College’s most exciting and dynamic programs—the Aviation Technology Program. From hands-on classrooms to hangar space filled with real aircraft, the Aviation Technology Center’s very own Jason Bowersock gave guests a glimpse into how Pima is training the next generation of aviation professionals right here in Southern Arizona.
Located near Tucson International Airport, the Aviation Technology Center prepares students for high-demand careers in the aviation industry with programs in Structural Repair, Airframe Mechanics, Powerplant Mechanics, and Avionics. Whether you’re interested in fixing, flying, or fine-tuning, Pima offers a clear path into a high-wage, high-skill field.
Tour participants were thrilled by the state-of-the-art facilities, industry-relevant equipment, and the chance to see students learning in real time.
One attendee remarked, “I had no idea this kind of program existed here. It’s incredible to see what Pima has to offer.”
Thank you, Hacienda at the Canyon for joining us at the Aviation Technology Center!
