At Pima Foundation, we know that strong leadership fuels strong opportunities. At the start of this fiscal year, we proudly welcomed five new members to our Board of Directors who each share a passion, expertise, and commitment to education that will help further our commitment to Pima Community College.

Each new member brings more than a title; they bring lived experience, deep roots in our community, and a shared vision of ensuring that education remains accessible and transformative for every learner who walks through Pima’s doors.

Meet Our New Board Members!

• Kylie Estep, South32 – With a strong background in community relations and workforce partnerships, Kylie brings insight into how industry and education can work together to strengthen opportunity across Southern Arizona.
• Dr. Marla Franco, University of Arizona – A national leader in advancing Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI) initiatives, Dr. Franco’s expertise and advocacy ensure that students of all backgrounds have the support they need to succeed.
• Jeff Powell, Tucson Car Wash Supply – A Tucson business leader, Jeff understands the importance of entrepreneurship and local industry in driving community growth. His experience adds a vital perspective to Pima Foundation’s work.
• Fred Ronstadt, The F. Ronstadt Company – A long-time Tucsonan and dedicated community leader, Fred brings a legacy of civic engagement and a deep appreciation for how education can transform lives.
• Dr. Ken Vorndran, Retired PCC Faculty – Having dedicated his career to teaching and mentoring Pima students, Dr. Vorndran carries forward his passion for education by continuing to serve and advocate for the College’s mission.

Together, these leaders join a legacy of service and impact at Pima Foundation. Their voices will amplify the stories of Pima learners, their talents will strengthen our efforts, and their dedication will continue to guide us as we build new opportunities for generations to come.
