Over the past three years, an incredible $300,116.75 has been raised through the Rotary Club of Tucson to support PimaSTART (Success Through Advanced Reskilling and Training), creating meaningful opportunity for learners across our community. Through the generosity of the Connie Hillman Family Foundation, every dollar raised has been matched by fifty cents, expanding the total impact and strengthening pathways to workforce success in Southern Arizona.

PimaSTART is a unique partnership between Pima Community College and the Gospel Rescue Mission’s Center of Opportunity. Together, they provide job training in high-demand fields such as construction, culinary arts, CDL training, and logistics, all industries that are essential to Tucson’s economic vitality and long-term growth.

Because of this extraordinary support, PimaSTART participants are able to complete their training debt-free, removing financial barriers and empowering individuals to move confidently into sustainable careers. That impact extends beyond the individual learner. It strengthens families, builds workforce capacity, and keeps Tucson thriving.
