I want to support the Pima Community College Veterans!
Funds contributed to one of the programs listed below will provide support to PCC student veterans.
The Veteran Student Emergency Fund assists veteran students struggling with unexpected financial hardships and other barriers to higher education. The funds may be utilized to cover personal expenses such as food, rent, auto repair, utilities, etc. or school expenses such as tuition, books, supplies, book fees or other educational expenses, so the student can stay focused on their education.
The program provides funds for veteran support activities identified by the Military and Veterans Services Director (Alissa McKaig) including, but not limited to, veterans assistance; tutoring and other educational support; the annual Veterans Day celebration and related events; the annual veterans' graduation recognition dinner and related events; hospitality items in support of the veteran centers at assorted campuses of Pima Community College, including, but not limited to, food, beverages, paper products, decorations, furniture or equipment, school supplies, and related activities, and all other needs and related activities approved by the Director of Military and Veterans Services.
Program funds shall be for the designated use and purpose of providing funds for chapter activities including, but not limited to, general activities, conference attendance and participation, fundraising events, awareness, and others as determined from time to time by SVA-PCC as approved by its Pima Community College advisor.
A federally funded program designed to support qualified, military veterans with preparation and the enrollment in a postsecondary school (university, community college, and vocational/technical programs). VUB provides skills and advice to enable veterans to achieve their academic goals.
