Why Every Day is a Day for Giving

Tomorrow marks Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to supporting nonprofits that make an impact in our communities. While this day shines a light on generosity, at Pima Foundation, we believe that giving is a spirit that transcends any one day. That’s why, instead of urging a focused campaign, we want to share a message of reflection and gratitude.

Over the past few weeks, we’ve spoken about giving thanks and giving back, celebrating all the ways we come together as a community. As we approach Giving Tuesday, we’d like to invite you to think of Pima Foundation not just on a single day, but year-round—when the time feels right for you.

Giving isn’t limited to monetary donations; it’s also about sharing your time, talents, and heart. Whether it’s mentoring a student, attending an event, volunteering, reading our stories and e-blasts, watching new episodes of Pima Voices, or simply cheering us on, every gesture makes a meaningful difference.

We remain deeply thankful to those who stand by us—our donors, board members, staff and community members—empowering us to provide life-changing opportunities for students at Pima Community College. Your unwavering support in every form reminds us of the incredible strength in connection and collaboration.

So, this Giving Tuesday, we encourage you to embrace the broader meaning of giving. Consider how you can make an impact with reasons that call to your heart at any time of the year. And as always, we invite you to keep Pima Foundation in your thoughts as we continue our shared mission of transforming lives and building a brighter future.

Thank you for walking this journey with us. Together, we create lasting change, one step at a time.

If you are in the giving mood this holiday season, below are a few ways you can support our mission.

Join us in attendance for Pima Night at Zoo Lights. Bring your family and celebrate the most wonderful time of the year. Sip hot chocolate as you stroll through the twinkling lights during one of Tucson’s favorite holiday traditions. Thousands of glittering lights illuminate the beautiful Reid Park Zoo grounds, with sounds of the season filling the air.

The Aztec Resource Center is holding their Winter Wonder Food Bag Drive until Friday, December 6th. This initiative aims to provide 200 Winter Wonder Bags to Pima students facing financial, housing, or food insecurity during the winter break.

Pima Community College Police Department’s annual Toy Drive is in full swing and this year, the Pima Foundation office is a drop-off location. The team is collecting an unwrapped toy for little ones at El Rio Preschool. Drop your present off any time, Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm at 4905C E Broadway Blvd, Ste 246 | Tucson, Arizona 85709.
