As the holidays draw near, our campuses begin to glow with a different kind of warmth, one created by generosity, connection, and the shared belief that every student deserves support, no matter the season. This time of year reminds us just how powerful our community can be when we come together, and there are many meaningful ways to make an impact at Pima Community College this holiday season.

You can support students through the food pantry as food insecurity doesn’t stop during winter break, and neither does our commitment to helping students meet their basic needs. The Aztec Resource Center (ARC) Food Pantry is available at West, East, Downtown, and Desert Vista campuses, providing students with access to essential groceries and meal staples when finances are tight. Every donation helps us keep shelves stocked and students supported.

For many students, hygiene essentials can be just as difficult to afford as food. This year, PCC Hygiene Closets at the Downtown, Northwest, and East Campuses are available through the Student Life Centers, offering items like soap, shampoo, deodorant, and other basic necessities. Your contributions help ensure students can attend classes, interviews, and daily life with confidence and dignity.

Nothing captures the spirit of the season quite like making a child smile. The Pima Community College Police Department is hosting its annual Toy Drive, collecting new and unwrapped toys to support the El Rio Preschool and Children’s Services.

• You can drop off toys at the Pima Foundation office until Friday, December 12,
• Or visit any PCC Police Department office by December 15 at 5 PM to donate.

These gifts brighten the holiday for local children and remind families that their community is here to support them.

If you prefer to make a financial gift this season, you can support any of our Pima Foundation funds for scholarships to program enhancements to student emergency assistance. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps create opportunities that go far beyond the holidays.
